  They really don't deserve 1 star. PEACE OF MIND IS A SCAM…..INCOMPETENT AND ANTIQUATED SYSTEMS!! BE CAREFUL…. I have had my taxes done at H & R Block for 5 years by the same person , Susan P. I had thought she was competent until i just received letters from the IRS stating tax returns for the past 3 years were incorrect resulting in me owing almost $1000 in penalties and taxes. I called H & R Block knowing this was clearly their mistake and they would own it since i had as the purchased the PEACE OF MIND contract. Susan had all the paperwork but when she asked me the question ‘’ DO YOU RECEIVE ALIMONY’’ she input NO instead of what I answered, YES.. I WOULD NOT LEAVE THAT OUT SINCE THAT IS MY MAIN INCOME.. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THE PEACE OF MIND. You have to sign this contract and what they fail to tell you is once you sign your are taking full responsibility and you agreed that the work they did was correct, so basically you pay them to do your taxes, you buy a peace of mind contract which states they will own their mistakes …I PAY YOU TO DO MY TAXES AND I SHOULD CHECK YOUR WORK??????? Nasty PEOPLE, almost sound like recordings, NOT GIVING A DARN ABOUT YOUR SITUATION, WHOSE MISTAKE IT WAS OR THE MESS THEY MADE OF YOUR TAXES. Google class actions lawsuits filed against them and the almost 2000 people whose taxes they have made serious mistakes on AND THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR A DIME BECAUSE AS THEY SAY ‘’ YOU SIGNED IT’’ ITS A TOTAL SCAM AND TOTAL MISREPRESENTATION. I will pay as they have me, i know it was their mistake but nothing i can do about it except spread the word. This last year ( 2016) i was a little worried as Susan seemed to be a bit confused. She was having a problem inputting the information i was giving her and after the manager and another associate came over they finally figured it out AFTER 45 MINUTES .My income is small, my taxes simple, no deductions, form 1040 ez used and she still made serious mistakes. Red Flags should have gone up but I TRUSTED HER AND HER COMPETENCY..not only that but WHEN SHE LOOKED ME DIRECTLY IN THE EYES AND SAID ‘’ YES, IF WE MAKE ANY MISTAKES, THE PEACE OF MIND WILL ASSIST YOU AND PAY ANY PENALTIES AND TAXES WHICH WOULD BE DUE IF THE MISTAKE WAS OURS!!!! WOW..talk about selling your soul, for a measly $40, isn't your integrity worth more than that Susan P? Very disappointed in you as I was a loyal client of yours!!!!
